Melisa’s parents were racing the Leadville 100 MTB event when she was only one year old. In the early day’s she came to this race to try a different type of exercise and also to share in the adventure with her parents. That quickly turned into a love for cycling that saw gave her the opportunity to cross the finish line one year with her mom and another year with her dad. The cycling bug and Leadville event had bitten her hard, and she has kept rising from amateur to a Pro paid career. She has done this race seven times with it culminating in her winning the Pro female category and stepping onto the top spot for 2024!
