Tommy Zula Punches His Ticket to the UCI Pumptrack World Championships

A hot weekend in Joplin, Missouri, brought fast racing and plenty of competition to Momentum Bike Park for a UCI Pumptrack World Championship qualifier. For Kenda Pro rider Tommy Zula, the weekend ended with a big result—and a ticket to the World Championships in China this October.

Tommy got off to a strong start, posting the fastest time in qualifying and carrying that momentum into the head-to-head rounds. He advanced through the field to the big final, where he put together another strong run to take the win and secure his spot at the UCI Pumptrack World Championships in Beijing this fall.

“Momentum Bike Park delivered an amazing event,” Tommy said. “The heat wave rolled in and so did the competition for some intense racing all day.”

For the weekend, Tommy raced on Kenda 3-Sixty Pro 26 x 2.25 tires, running 65 psi. The combination gave him the speed and predictable feel he was looking for on the tight, high-speed pumptrack.

With the qualifier win behind him, Tommy now turns his attention to October and the world stage in Beijing.

Congratulations to Tommy on a well-earned win and a spot at the UCI Pumptrack World Championships. We’ll be following along as he takes on the world’s best this fall.
