BRETT RHEEDER TAKES HIS SECOND RED BULL RAMPAGE WIN

Red Bull Rampage returned for the 16th time to Virgin, Utah. This year, 16 riders, both pre-qualified and wild card winners, took part in mountain biking's undoubtedly most renowned freeride event. Rheeder, who had first won the event in 2018, returned to Utah after a 3-year hiatus, during which he had to endure several setbacks, like a broken femur. Leading up to finals, the Canadian was looking confident and smooth. He rode diligently during his practice days, repeatedly sessioning each feature until things felt right.

After an impressive run, Rheeder was in the lead with a score of 90.66. Conditions were perfect for the first half of the event, but after the wind picked up, the riders decided not to do a second run, andBrett became a now two-time Rampage winner. Second was Szymon Godzieck with a score of 86.33, followed by Brandon Semenuk with 84 points.

Kenda riderTom Van Steenbergencame in 12th and was awarded with theMcGazza Spirit Award,DJ Brandtwas 13th.Kyle Straitcrashed in practice and fractured several vertebrae and had to undergo surgery. We are glad to know that Kyle is in good spirits and headed for a hopefully smooth recovery.

Rheeder was running the Kenda Pinner front and rear.
