Was looking for a different front tire than my 2.5†Maxxis Assegai which is a slug on the climbs, and this tire fit the bill after multiple tire option considerations. This tire cut the weight of my previous front tire by roughly 200g, and is relatively noticeable. Great grip, good traction, and the knobs roll real easily. I’m on an Ibis Ripley with this 2.4†up front, and a Specialized Fast Trak 2.35†on the rear. So far, so good. I’ve only really “slipped†on maybe 2 or 3 REALLY loose/sandy turns, and I’m not sure any tire would have really held up. Great confidence going downhill on chunk/chunder, and great for loose over hard. I’d recommend it.
