I first used this tire at Grinduro which was loose, rocky, snowy, slick, drizzly, sunny, hard packed, and the descents and ascents were very steep at times. Side bite is excellent, front does not wallow or feel like it is going to roll off the rim at lean angle. Impressive traction on a very high-speed logging road gravel descent and the rear brakes great. I have been racing CX on the Booster, mainly hard pack and grass in California. Tires work fantastic and I have yet to wash out the front end even in very techy and tight cross courses. They work well in the sand sections. I have also ridden and gravel raced the Kenda Flintridge. The Booster is equally fast rolling on hard pack but has better traction. The Flintridge is more robust and can take more abuse. If there are any improvements to be made to the Booster, it would be to have more puncture protection on the contact patch. I cut the tire twice which I had to plug on grave ride. For CX this isn't an issue.
