The Booster really hooks up well in a broad variety of conditions for how light and fast it rolls.  It's really no compromise for a speed/weight vs. traction and probably my favorite XC tire for variable conditions as it's more predictable in loose and wet than Aspen, Mezcal and others.  The only downside is the casing does feel stiffer than 120tpi Maxxis, and I've experienced a couple non-repairable side wall tears.  Not perfect, but no tire is.

I ride on Midwest hardpack and loose over hard. The amount of grip that I sacrifice vs reduced drag is totally worth it to me.
